🧥 Gear I'm Using Right Now: Code of Silence Merino Flex

Early season is all about quiet movement — and I’ve been hunting in the FareWinds Merino Flex jacket and pants.

Compared to soft-shell polyester options, this fabric is dead silent. It feels more natural in the woods and the cut is clearly made for serious hunting — not just “outdoor lifestyle.” The build quality, stitching, and pocket layout all show it’s made for real use, not just show.

If you’ve been looking to upgrade your early-season setup, this is worth checking out.

I have been out still learning the ropes of elk hunting.  The learning curve is HUGE. This Primos Slide Bugle has honestly made it easier to get consistent bugles, cow calls, and calf sounds while figuring out how to “speak elk.” I use all kinds of gear from all kinds of brands — this isn’t a paid plug, it’s just what’s actually been working for me.  This year I called three bull elk into bow range but never with a clear shot so I got the hang of it quick, I just need to impove my lung capacity to get that long more realistic bugle.

🎯 Spotlight Gear

The new Badlands Bino XR Pro offers separate bino and rangefinder compartments, quiet magnetic closures, and breathable harness straps built for all-day comfort. It’s priced above many harnesses, but after dealing with saggy, bulky, or cheap rigs that catch my bow string, limit access, and lack expandability, this one looks like the real deal for serious hunters.
Perfect for bowhunters or spot-and-stalk setups.

💰 Price: $189.99
